God has a Controversy with the Nations

Man didn’t originate ‘the law.’ Do you possible believe that it was man who could think on such a high moral plain as ‘the law’ or what we refer to as the 10 commandments? Man always seeks the lowest form of morality and the lowest ideals that they call morality. Thus, their form of morality is always in flux, ever changing, ever regressing, ever giving consent and approval to the lusts and filth of the mindless, and soulless few; so that the will of the few then become the active will of the masses.

At one time in history, man sometimes looked not only on morality, but also looked on those who attempted to live on a higher godly moral plain with  respect. But that is not true of our current age, for the majority look on any and all forms of morality with mocking derision.

The law of man seeks not a high moral plain, but what is most acceptable to the lowest of the low, and gives their approval to the acts and desires of the bottom feeders of this corrupt and sinful world.

God has a controversy with the nations

As God withdrew His kindness and His mercy from His people (Israel), the nation that He loved (Israel) , the apple of His eye (Israel) (yea, for a short time period) for their sins and depravity; what think ye, that God will not withdraw His kindness and His mercy from a people and a nation such as ours for our sins, for our rejection of Him, for our corruptions that equal and surpass those of His nation, Israel. Yes, He punished Israel severely, and they are still under the rod of God’s hand, but they are still His people. The following verse draws a contrast between His people, Israel, and the nations of the world — that is US! Read and understand what this nation and all nations of this earth have to look forward to. We have sealed our own fate by our evil and corrupt laws.

(Speaking to Israel, God says) For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: (now to all nations God says,) though I make a full end of all nations ( now back to Israel) whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. (Jeremiah 30:11)

The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. (Psalm 9:17)

All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. (Isaiah 40:17)

A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 25:31)

There was an effectual beginning once of a great nation born out of the strength and energy of persecuted Christians who desired to be free to serve and worship God as He prescribed; to honor and obey His way, His words, and His laws. Now we have come to the end of this once great God honoring nation. Its life span was a short one compared to the nations who went before. Now, in the death of our nation, Christians are being persecuted for honoring and obeying God and His Word. We have gone from light to dark. We have gone from truth to error, we have gone from being dependent on God to being slaves to evil. Even though other nations still have the same names of ages past that is the only thing that they still have in common, historical names; but names only. The glory has departed from each and every nation. Yes, the glory has departed!

The power that many thought to be dead in every aspect is now showing renewed life, strength and unity, and what was once the glory of the Ottoman dynasty has now become the unifying power of the Islamic religion of the Arab nations. Revelation 13:1-3 describes the historical flow of one kingdom to another kingdom, and a ruling head and government power that suffered a deadly wound that will once again come to life as a political, economic, social and religious rebirth —  this once great power is the Islamic world.

By the way, when you read through the Book of the Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ there are a number of nations represented; such as the Medes-Persians, the bear; Greece, the leopard; Babylon-Iraq-Arab power, the lion; and Roman power; Russia, Egypt, and the powers of the East, China. However, you will not find any symbol or representation of the United States, we are not a power, we are not mentioned, or even given one word recognition in the book of the end. We, as a nation, will no longer exist enough to even matter in the affairs of the world during the end times of the nations and the world. We are not even worthy for a postscript notation in Revelation. How the mighty have fallen!

What should our nation do? It is too late for our nation. Why? Because the softened wax that had once sealed our laws has become brittle and dry. Read Romans, Chapter 1; but I will draw your attention to a phrase that occurs 2 times in this chapter. “God gave them up, (Romans 1:24,26) and 1 mention of “God gave them over”  (Romans 1:28).

God gave them up

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (Romans 1:24-27)

God gave them over

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (Romans 1:28-32)

What we should do?

Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble. (Jeremiah 11:14)

Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee. (Jeremiah 7:16)

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (Matthew 22:37)

But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. (Revelation 2:25)

Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. (Revelation 3:11)

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:13,14)

Brethren, hold fast and rejoice, the end draweth nigh!

Amen
